Surface Headphones 2 wont charge?

Hi,

So I've had my headphones for around 2 years, and I just recently lost the USB charging cable. I thought I could charge it using any USB C cable, but after multiple attempts with different cables, the white light will only turn on for a split second instead of blinking like its supposed to indicate charging.

Am I doing something wrong? I've plugged it into my surface pro 8, and it recognizes the device, so it can't be a charging port issue. I've usually charged it with the USB cable plugged into my surface pro charging block, which is plugged into a wall outlet. But when I do that with any other cable, it doesn't work, it just does the thing I described above.
