How do you set the adapter to the 2.4 Ghz band?

Using the adapter with my Surface Pro 3 and I'm seeing lots of disconnects especially during videos. Anyone else seeing this.

2015-11-04T18:12:16+00:00 I have great success by setting the wireless adapter on my Surface Pro 3 to the 2.4Ghz band recently. Fewer disconnects and decent speeds too.

2015-11-04T17:20:15+00:00 It pains me to read the replies to the post. This "engineering" obviously has no idea how the wireless display adapter works. You don't need the internet. His post specifically states Wireless display adapter. Stop just reading on or two words from the customers and ready the entire message then take the time to figure out what they care are talking about before you go half cocked and give an answer that has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

2015-10-29T01:52:40+00:00 Well, after fooling around a bit I tried messing with advanced power settings.. I changed the setting for when to turn off the display from 10 minutes to two hours. Guess what, the adapter stayed connected for over an hour. Why the adapter would drop connection when the display was set turn off beats me. FWWIW, I was using the second screen only setting for the adapter. One caveat, The display setting I changed was in the advanced power settings.
