Surface Book 3 Nvidia Graphics card disappears after updates.

I bought the Surface book 3 a few weeks ago. It just installed some updates and now my Nvidia card has disappeared from the device manger. 

It was working properly before the updates go installed so now I am suspecting it's something to do with the windows updates. My surface book hasn't received the latest 2004 windows update yet. I have already gone through the Nvidia driver experience app to manual install the graphics card driver but it says it can't detect any graphics card. I am pretty sure a brand new 3grand machine will not be equipped with a faulty graphics card, because that will be stupid. Will be contacting MS soon. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem.

    Latest Windows operating system.  Even rolled back 20H2 as a possible problem.

    Now I cant even install an Nvidia driver as the experience centre tells me that my version of Windows inot compatible with the driver it chooses to install.

    Microsoft I am not happy, having spent $4000 on a laptop that I LOVE but now wont even install its own drivers.  I have no idea how to fix this and it is not 'broken enough' that the store will return or replace it.  How can you break your own flagship device with a crappy update and not fix it for weeks?  

    The problem is apart from this issue it IS a great machine.  But you've broken it.  With software.  And not bothered to fix it.  Not even acknowledging that it is broken - telling us to run diagnostics that do nothing.  How can I trust your software, updates or devices in the future?

    Unless this is fixed soon you've lost an advocate, probably many of us, frustrated and annoyed that we spent so much money on a device the company obviously doesn't care about.

    A cold reboot (power button 15 seconds) fixed it for me first time! Hope this helps

    @Microsoft - Can you please fix this ridiculous issue with Surface Book 3 GPU being lost, its being going on since day one. Very poor QA for a premium laptop. You would not get this with a Mac, no wonder Microsoft loses business. Also most of the simply work around dont work or are unreliable. ie "Scan for new hardware" 

    For me it only seems to work if I re-apply firmware , or disconnect screen several time. Sometimes this even loses the keyboard even although it attached. The hinge attach/detach is unreliable as is the hardware plug and play.   Please fix this as a priority or you will lose another customer.

    Worth noting my 1st Gen Surface book with 1gb Nvidia GPU was perfect without any issues. Surface Book 3 and Windows 10 have been out long enough to iron out any major bugs.

    undocking and redocking has helped me. Then the graphics card reappeared and I could work with it as usual.

    Sometimes it works only with the 2nd try
