Surface Book 3 Nvidia Graphics card disappears after updates.

I must say I've never had the tablet or base get too hot to touch! What are you running?

I think you've identified a sister issue giving a similar result.

Hopefully that fixes at some peoples problem.

I think most of us here would say heat is not the main issue, it is the 'removable' tablet, or more precisely the removable keyboard and graphics card. It is simply not good at realising it has been reattached, or windows sees it but the nvidia driver does not.

This means doing the detach/reattach dance and/or restart before the card magically works again.

Frustrating in the extreme.

Verify that my own solution is unable to fix the periodic detachment of display drivers before making assumptions.

I have yet to return to the problem despite cooling a unit that had featured issues on teh same day.

no,it isn't a heat problem.oppositely,my solution is "preheat"the graphic card by opening another game before opening the game i want to play

I just spent all day without the issue after installing a desk fan.
The problem did arise after tabbing to another window yet at least this is user input and manageable.
