Surface Book 3 Nvidia Graphics card disappears after updates.

I bought the Surface book 3 a few weeks ago. It just installed some updates and now my Nvidia card has disappeared from the device manger. 

It was working properly before the updates go installed so now I am suspecting it's something to do with the windows updates. My surface book hasn't received the latest 2004 windows update yet. I have already gone through the Nvidia driver experience app to manual install the graphics card driver but it says it can't detect any graphics card. I am pretty sure a brand new 3grand machine will not be equipped with a faulty graphics card, because that will be stupid. Will be contacting MS soon. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem.

    My SB 3 15" has a similar problem, but perhaps it is because the Nvidia graphics card is overheating while I was playing a game. I checked the temperature is within 59~67 degree C when the GPU disconnected. Is this temperature too high? However, any game running with Nvidia graphics card it will keep this range of temperature (Warframe, The Witcher 3", etc.), it cannot be acceptable for every time these game running.

    I had a similar issue. The Surface Diagnostic Kit fixed it for me.

    May I know how you fixed it? I just tried Surface Diagnostic Kit, but it seems no individual graphic card test. I am trying to report to Microsoft directly.

    after 3 weeks and windows update this issue occurred. Surface diagnostic tool fixed the problem.

    The Surface Diagnostic kit checks sometimes fixes the issue, it didnt for me. I used the following.

    1. I also find if you perform a cold boot and hold down the power button for 10 seconds. Then power on as normal it magically appears in device manager.
    2. Uninstall/Install latest firmware.

    Occasionally the Nvidia GPU will vanish from Device Manager leaving you with  onboard Intel GPU with isnt good for games.  I suspect its happen a lot more with suspend/awake. 

    ** Please note I have logged this as a bug fix with Microsoft Surface team . It needs to be fixed in the next firmware/patch run. Not good for a new 2/3k premium laptop. **
