after 3 weeks and windows update this issue occurred. Surface diagnostic tool fixed the problem.

I bought the Surface book 3 a few weeks ago. It just installed some updates and now my Nvidia card has disappeared from the device manger.
It was working properly before the updates go installed so now I am suspecting it's something to do with the windows updates. My surface book hasn't received the latest 2004 windows update yet. I have already gone through the Nvidia driver experience app to manual install the graphics card driver but it says it can't detect any graphics card. I am pretty sure a brand new 3grand machine will not be equipped with a faulty graphics card, because that will be stupid. Will be contacting MS soon. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem.

2020-08-08T05:36:22+00:00 My SB 3 15" has a similar problem, but perhaps it is because the Nvidia graphics card is overheating while I was playing a game. I checked the temperature is within 59~67 degree C when the GPU disconnected. Is this temperature too high? However, any game running with Nvidia graphics card it will keep this range of temperature (Warframe, The Witcher 3", etc.), it cannot be acceptable for every time these game running.

2020-07-15T20:09:25+00:00 I had the same issue, its also happened before on Surface Book 2. On my SB3 you can either re-install or update to latest firmware.

Seems to be suspend/resume related. I also find if you perform a cold boot and hold down the power button for 10 seconds. Then power on as normal it magically appears.
@Microsoft - You need to get this bug fixed, not good for a 3k laptop.
