Same issue with Surface Book 3 not recognizing video card. UEFI solution worked. Literally just toggled the DGPU off and on again and back to normal.
Surface Book 3 Nvidia Graphics card disappears after updates.
I bought the Surface book 3 a few weeks ago. It just installed some updates and now my Nvidia card has disappeared from the device manger.
It was working properly before the updates go installed so now I am suspecting it's something to do with the windows updates. My surface book hasn't received the latest 2004 windows update yet. I have already gone through the Nvidia driver experience app to manual install the graphics card driver but it says it can't detect any graphics card. I am pretty sure a brand new 3grand machine will not be equipped with a faulty graphics card, because that will be stupid. Will be contacting MS soon. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem.

**The GPU disappears!**Why does the GPU disappear at all?
This isn't something that happens on a desktop or other laptops and you're willing to live with it on your SB? Would you be happy if your desktop graphics card just stopped working and you had to reboot your desktop just to get your screen operational again?
This isn't normal!

2020-12-28T00:09:10+00:00 Hello,
It started today for me....
I was playing a game and suddently a freeze with the noise of when a device is unplug from the computer.
The Nvidia GPU was gone......
I have done all the steps :
- Surface toolkit
- Reinstall the surface driver (which worked and then again I lost the GPU while gaming....)
I have done the screen unplug then plug back and the GPU is back but why is it deciding to disconnect while in game?
I am keeping the book updated EVERY DAY.
Please note that im gaming on this since July and i have a couple small issue resolved after a completed reset of the PC.
But now this....
Between the surface DUO issue I have and this.... I am more and more tempted to join the dark side....which is Apple.
