Surface Book 3 Nvidia Graphics card disappears after updates.

I bought the Surface book 3 a few weeks ago. It just installed some updates and now my Nvidia card has disappeared from the device manger.

It was working properly before the updates go installed so now I am suspecting it's something to do with the windows updates. My surface book hasn't received the latest 2004 windows update yet. I have already gone through the Nvidia driver experience app to manual install the graphics card driver but it says it can't detect any graphics card. I am pretty sure a brand new 3grand machine will not be equipped with a faulty graphics card, because that will be stupid. Will be contacting MS soon. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem.

Lmao even I faced the issue. I too have a SB3 13.5, and it happens frequently. So what I do is, I detach it and fix it back again. And it works!!

    Hope this will help ya!!

I had this issue too .. the best thing I found was to end game. Restart computer and select ‘scan for devices’ in device manager.. seems like a work around but hey what’s a gaming system for???

Yepppee. That worked and made sense to try. Most Appreciated! I have the 15 inch and it wasn't detecting nvidia graphics card. Simply detach and reattach. Problem Solved!

1)Uninstall all Nvidia drivers from PC (may require restart) 2)Enter Device Manager and click on Display Adapters (Make sure all Nvidia drivers are uninstalled before doing this) 3)Right click Intel Graphics card and disable it 4)Restart PC 5)Re-install Nvidia drivers 6)Restart PC 7)Go to device manager and click on Display Adapters 8)You should now see both Intel and Nvidia graphics cards, Right click Intel card and enable it. 9)You might need to restart one more time.
