Surface Book 3 Nvidia Graphics card disappears after updates.

I bought the Surface book 3 a few weeks ago. It just installed some updates and now my Nvidia card has disappeared from the device manger.

It was working properly before the updates go installed so now I am suspecting it's something to do with the windows updates. My surface book hasn't received the latest 2004 windows update yet. I have already gone through the Nvidia driver experience app to manual install the graphics card driver but it says it can't detect any graphics card. I am pretty sure a brand new 3grand machine will not be equipped with a faulty graphics card, because that will be stupid. Will be contacting MS soon. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem.

this is embarassing...same issue here started about a week ago. And for me is a big problem, because i usually play multiplayer online games and they drop to 33 fps. No chance other than close the game, reboot and praying it recognize back the graphic card. And no chance to know untill i start playing the game.

We spent a lot of money to have the best combination between hardware and software and than what happen? I'm so disappointed, really. And wondering if sell the book and buy other laptop is the right choise.

Please FIX IT! I saw that NVIDIA just released (GeForce Experience) a new driver. Hope it fixes the issue but i'm not confident in that

    Hi

Agreed, make sure you have all latest Win10 updates including the latest firmware. Since December I vary rarely get the issue.

If I do , just open device manager and "scan for hardware changes".  It should still be rock solid and not disconnect, like my SB v1.

@microsoft - If you dont make your premium hardware reliable you will lose customers.

I tried it on both my SB2 and SB3. I still get intermittent drops throughout the day. This has become nothing but a disappointment. I have also noticed that my Microsoft bluetooth mouse and Microsoft Surface Mouse both drop intermittently when using a bluetooth headset. This happens routinely in Zoom, WebX and even Teams(the worst of the bunch!). If the mouse isn't dropping cursor movements the wheels button hangs, If those are working then my headset drops out.

I'm shocked that the users haven't railed against Microsoft at this point. This is unusable at times and my SB3 is loaded. Frustrated can't even describe my situation. To make matters worse, I went through numerous swaps and Microsoft wouldn't take it back. I was stuck at that point.

Who do we have to complain to in order to get a device that works. Reliably. An attorney?

Guys,  Since updating my Surface Book 3 to the latest December firmware I have had a lot more reliability.

Only one loss of GPU that I noticed and it came back after a power off and on. Its been pretty good with suspend/resume so fingers crossed. Its worth updating if you haven't done already.
