Plugged in, not charging and if I unplug that AC adapter, it turns off

Hey, one more thing: I have offered before to send you my SP3 if you would like a problem unit to study.  No strings attached. It would just be nice to see someone treating us and this issue with respect.

Bad news for all of ya:

Once firmware is changed, there is no going back.

So, until Microsoft can figure out ho to change how the battery reports, this will not get fixed.  They CAN'T fix it.

They can only replace the devices with known good ones, and they aren't about to do that.  I have had two replacements sent to me, and both had the battery issue.  I'm assuming refurbs since the Pro 3 isn't even going to be produced anymore. (another clue they aren't planning on fixing this)

They are going to charge us to replace them.. they are going to charge us to even TALK to them about it.

They told me four hours wasn't bad for battery life.  Then told me to run updates and let it go for a few days.  Like I haven't done that 5,000 times already. 

Face it people, MS doesn't care.  They know we will just buy the 4.. hopefully the 5 (I actually read a woman's post stating "Luckily, I was able to upgrade to the Pro 4 for yada yada yada.."  YOU FOOL!!!!!!

Look at their changed in Office licensing and how they are making it such a pain in the butt in hopes of getting a subscription for Office 365 out of us.  I've said it before, they are just a big, greedy bully.

The new CEO could care less about the previous CEO's screw up and is too busy with buying companies that could pose a threat in any way... and the shiny new Surface Pro 5.

Pushing us into giving them more money.

Why do we put up with it?

I'm fine with almost ANY other tablet at this point, and I can use OpenOffice.

I first tried the Windows 8 because I figured the old drivers worked, but alas, no charging.

I then tried the 10, also, no charging.

On both I monitored the battery before and after updating all windows updates (that the system was able to install)

Currently there is a firmware that will not install because I need a 40% charge, but my system will not recognize a battery, or say 100% charged no battery detected, or sometimes it says 0% and not charging.

I am repeating redundant information because it appears you did not read the entire thread.  The article does not fix our problems. 

And again, I would be happy to send my SP3 in for a "$200 out of warranty" battery replacement like was stated in Reddit by the Surface team when SP3 was being released and hyped.  But im not going to pay $450 (nearly 1/3 of the cost of the device) because the battery failed.  

Fun fact: My Surface RT VERSION 1 battery is still in excellent condition. Just had to replace the kickstand cause my children use it and its pretty beat up.  However my SP3 in pristine condition cannot run without the plug in.

Our drivers are updated, all the latest patches are installed.

The problem is that the issued FIXES DO NOT WORK.

The FIRMWARE HAS ISSUES.

Please contact the appropriate folks at MS to get a resolution that works. READ THIS FORUM and you will see how many very competent folks have the SAME PROBLEM and MS is just ignoring us!
