I have yellow marks and a white dot and thought that I was seeing things regarding the screen bowing out at me until I read this thread. I'm having the same issue. I have a surface pro 4 going on 2 years now. I hope they can help.
Yellow tint on Surface Book Screen
I have a really noticeable yellow tint stain on all sides of my Surface Book. I spent well over 3 grand roughly a year or two ago on this "State of the Art" machine and now this? I need this fixed - how do I get this resolved? If its past the time limits you still need to fix this issue, I have seen too many posts on this now and it seems like faulty equipment - not something we should have to have already on this machine we invested so much into!!

I am having the same issue with my Surface Book, purchased in April 2016 for $2,800. I went through 3 power supplies within the first 6 months and now I'm having the yellow stain issues.
I have been on the phone with Microsoft Surface support. The tech, Gregory, tried to elevate my problem but I was disapproved for repair because my 2 year warranty had expired. The floor supervisor was not able to help either. My options were to pay $600 to have it repaired/replaced with the same model (with a 90 day warranty) or trade this one in toward the purchase of a new one. Why would I pay an additional $600 for the same model that doesn't work? and with only a 90 day warranty?
Come on Microsoft you have to do better than this, especially since you know this is a known issue.
I just got off the phone with support for the same issue. They offered the $600 replacement as well. I asked that it be escalated up a level and was told they will contact me on Wednesday. NOT ACCEPTABLE to pay so much for a product that will not last two years.

2018-12-01T01:53:07+00:00 I had the same issue, and had mine replaced back in October. I was told (by a service technician at the Microsoft Store) that this happens when you constantly carry the device in a bag/briefcase and you only close the lid, which puts it in sleep mode. Because it's an "always connected" device, sometimes it will still get emails, updates, notifications in the background. I was told that when the device performs lots of background things, the processor is working and there's no way for the heat to properly dissipate because the vents are all blocked when it's being carried in a bag/briefcase.
It was suggested to actually shut down the Surface Book before putting it in a bag. I was able to get Microsoft to exchange it for me. They sent me an identical model through the mail and I returned the defective one. I didn't have to pay anything; they just put a hold on my credit card for the value until they received the defective item back.

2018-12-01T04:03:10+00:00 I took mine into the Microsoft Store where I bought it two years ago. The tech looked at it, said, "You've got burn-in, huh?" and immediately went in back for a replacement. When she detached the screen from the keyboard and put it down, I noticed it didn't lie flat, and the screen was bulging. She said the battery was expanding, and it was imperative to replace it - it could be dangerous. She transferred everything she could to the new computer, took the old one and didn't charge me anything. (I still have to deal with reinstalling all my programs, but at least the machine isn't about to explode!)
