Yellow tint on Surface Book Screen

EXACT SAME experience. Purchased in 2017....replaced for same issue in 2019.....now in 2021, same issue with the replacement. ARRGGHHH!!

I bought my Surface Pro 4 in May of 2017.  I am on my second Surface Pro 4 as the first one needed to be replaced after the battery swelled and the screen started bulging out from its casing and the sides of the display began to yellow. 

Just this morning, as I went to pick up my computer to take it from the bed to the office, I noticed that, once again, the battery has swelled and the screen is bulging. There is a bit of yellowing on the edges at the bottom that is appearing as well., And lately I've begun to get some complaints about sound quality on Zoom and I wonder if this might be the culprit. Arrgghhh!!

Michael, I suspect there are quite a few litigators on this thread, and I'm one of them. But I regret to tell you that taking on Microsoft is no easy task. Almost all class actions are done on a 'contingency' -- the law firm fronts the cost of the litigation, and if it's won of settled, the lawyer(s) take 30+ % of the winnings. But unless it's one of those major class action firms -- which have their own problems-- it's a major commitment. Justice calls out for a remedy, but in the US system of justice, money governs. If you want to talk to one the preeminent class plaintiffs law firms, try Bernstein Litowitz (NY), and let them know you have a large number of buyers who are really pissed off. Feel free to let me know how it's going.

I am shocked that on this Community there is no lawyers or firms willing to take on MS for clearly and blatantly defective batteries within tablets and books at a minimum. Also, if anyone is crazy enough to take the exchange, they get a refurbished one with the SAME defective battery. This is not only insane but fraud on MS part and they must be held accountable. As a veteran in a wheelchair, I do not have the mobility to find a large firm to sue MS for this form or fraud and rob users. Their YouTube and ads project a different picture and when I purchased the Book #1 in early 2016, there was not enough complaints out there develop any trend of how large this fraud was.

I opted to not fall for their ridiculous replacement robbery and purchased a competitor computer for $800 less than what I had with al the same features. When I completed transferring everything, I moved the MS Surface Book to another table and noticed not only the screen had the defectives battery but the keyboard also had it and the front of my Surface split for the keyboard by ~ 2 inches and the left side split the entire length and was open at least 1/4".

fraud, fraud, fraud. They should by accountable and replace with a missive recall. Or the have a Class Action Suit thrown on them
