Initially, I talked to the Microsoft Customer Service who transferred me to the Surface Customer Support folks. The individual I was working with was unable to see the yellow lines because it was a hardware problem and not software. They recommended I
take it to the nearest Microsoft Store. I didn't make an appointment I just took my Surface along with the power supply to the local store. The first time they checked it out but did not offer to replace it or repair it because my warranty had expired and
I refuse to pay an additional $599 to replace my Surface with a limited warranty. The next time I took it back to the store because my Surface just completely shut down and once again no help only the $599 replacement cost.
I guess it all depend on where you are living because some people have been able to get their Surface replaced for the same issues I'm having and their warranty had expired. My issue has been escalated and now I have to ship my Surface back to Microsoft
because I tried to turn it on again and it actually starting smoking. I'll post and update once everything is settled.
