Yellow tint on Surface Book Screen

I have a really noticeable yellow tint stain on all sides of my Surface Book. I spent well over 3 grand roughly a year or two ago on this "State of the Art" machine and now this? I need this fixed - how do I get this resolved? If its past the time limits you still need to fix this issue, I have seen too many posts on this now and it seems like faulty equipment - not something we should have to have already on this machine we invested so much into!!

    Hi Tim

You couldn't tell mine was bulging either but when I laid it on a flat surface with a ruler on top of it you could see the bulge.

I posted a picture of how I was directed by Microsoft to check for the bulging.

    Hopefully this help

    Shirley

    Hi Galo Egas G

It all depends on who you get at Microsoft when you call in to complain or when you go directly to their store.  I didn't have my computer 3 yrs and I did have a receipt but they would only offer to replace my computer if I gave them $599.

I had the yellow tints on both sides of my screen.  To glance at my computer you could not see any bulging.  After I filed a complaint with the Consumer Safety Protection because my computer was smoking, I was contacted by Microsoft again.  The tech had me to lay my computer on a flat surface and place a ruler on it.  You could see the bulge.  Microsoft shipped my a special box to mail my old laptop in and sent me a replacement laptop free of charge.  I only have a 90 warranty on the new computer

For Tim, @Shirleyb21 and everyone else in this situation. After reading this thread this morning I contacted MS via chat support right away.

I explain the issue and that i read this thread and learned that this is a manufacturing defect. I explain the yellow stains and the bulging which I haven't actually notice before reading this, since in my case is in the back so is hard to see. idI In't bought my device brand new from MS, I bought it used on Ebay and I'm at least the third owner. I explain also this to MS representative.

So MS confirmed that they could replace my unit free of charge if it is within 3 years of original purchase which luckily I am. I had to submit pictures of the defects, and Im going to return my device by mail and get a replacement at zero cost. MS have been super helpful so far, I didn't even bought the device first hand nor knew when was it bought originally and they find that out for me.

I'm currently not in the states so this replacement might take some time, but I'll try to keep you guys updated on the development of this. MS also told me that the important part is I report the incident whitin the 3 years period so Shirley should be covered, even if the actual return of the device comes after.

And Tim, here is a pic of how the stains look in my device, if yours are similar is definetly the same issue, contact MS right away
