I have contacted MS because a have the same problem with my Surface Book I bought from Amazon. My screen was too bulged that it broke the glass screen protector. In my country there is not a MS Store. However, when I talked with customer service I made it
clear that I was traveling to US so I could take my laptop to a store. They asked me to attach some pictures of my bulged screen and the yellow marks. However the answer I received from the Support Agent was to discontinue using my surface and dispose it following
a local e-waste process.
I see that you are currently in an unsupported country or a country in which the Surface has not launched. As this is the case, we cannot provide support or service options for your device. We would recommend that you discontinue using the Surface and have it properly disposed of following your local e-waste process. At this time, your case is being closed.
I really can't understand how a top of the line product which clearly has some factory defects has to be disposed in less than 3 years. I feel ofended for the way MS handle it. As I see in the thread its just a matter of luck to get a replacement for a faulty
and dangerous product.
