Yellow tint on Surface Book Screen

I have a really noticeable yellow tint stain on all sides of my Surface Book. I spent well over 3 grand roughly a year or two ago on this "State of the Art" machine and now this? I need this fixed - how do I get this resolved? If its past the time limits you still need to fix this issue, I have seen too many posts on this now and it seems like faulty equipment - not something we should have to have already on this machine we invested so much into!!

Oh great...today I am seeing a yellow tint on the right side of the screen (I only had the bulge before).  Was hoping that I'd keep it going until Surface Book 3 comes out.  I still like my Surface Book, don't really want to use anything else.  Shame Microsoft doesn't care for loyal customers.

Noticing that it's rather a lot hotter than usual...As if I don't have enough problems atm to worry about this too!

Same issue,  this is the link to to my post, still no answer from support except "don't use the device" and they closed 2 tickets so far without any information.

Has anyone had success in getting a free replacement after when the SB is over 3 years old, without going to a Microsoft store?

I understand that 3 years is quite old, but at the same time, this isn't a 250 $ laptop, it costed like 10 times that much and apart from the screen/battery issues my Surface Book with Performance base is still going strong.

I talked to Microsoft support, they said I had to pay (a high cost) for a replacement since it has no warranty left. At the same time they recommended me to do a backup of all my data and place my Surface Book in a fire safe box and not charge or use it anymore.

So I would really appreciate any help on how to proceed, which "buttons to press" so to say. :) Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you. Purchased my first SB around 3 years ago. I'm based in the UK where we don't have Microsoft stores.

I got a replacement SB due to battery bulges but now even my second one suffers from the same issue. Battery bulging, crazy noise from the fan and yellow tint on the screen. I contacted Microsoft and they said I'll need to pay £500 which is just insane.

They told me not to use the laptop and dispose of it as it is a fire safety hazard.

Am I the only one who believes Microsoft should do a safety recall for potential fire hazards. This is insane!
