Yellow tint on Surface Book Screen

I have a really noticeable yellow tint stain on all sides of my Surface Book. I spent well over 3 grand roughly a year or two ago on this "State of the Art" machine and now this? I need this fixed - how do I get this resolved? If its past the time limits you still need to fix this issue, I have seen too many posts on this now and it seems like faulty equipment - not something we should have to have already on this machine we invested so much into!!

I totally feel you frustration.   Microsoft continues to profit from their PC's knowing full well they are pumping out thousands of new PC's with the same manufacturing and design flaw.  The only thing Microsoft understands is a class action lawsuit , which thankfully is in the works.

How does one become part of the clas action.  I have the same issues.

It's far overdue. It's shameless that MS refuses to acknowledge the problem publicly, and just jerks people around individually, believing that that is to their economic benefit. An inexcusable business 'model'

I have been dealing with this issue close to a year now. My Microsoft surface 1st generation laptop started having yellow tint screen around April of 2019. I purchased the laptop in August 2018. It has been less than a year, so I call in for my limited warranty. I called in April 2019, they said they'll get back to me through email to follow up.....no follow up is sent. I called May 2019...no follow up email, I called August 2019...no follow up email. I then call Septemeber as I need proper colours for thermodynamic simulations since I am an engineering student. They then tell me I need to pay $600 because it is out of warranty, I told them that I've been talking to them since April, but apparently there is no record of it whatsoever, they call me a liar, and at this point, I'm furious as I've been dealing with this since April and have gotten no feedback at all till now. They decide to make a deal with me and let me do the warranty claim for $350, they then say they'll send it to my email if change my mind. Me being desperate needing this asap for school, I change my mind and decide to pay the fee. I see nothing in my email once again, at this point Im losing my mind thinking they doing this on purpose. I then call them again in October, they say the fee is now $750 and I'm like how can I call customer care back multiple times and things just keep getting worse? Like what type of company is this? They escalate and say there is nothing they can do because there is no evidence of any call since there is no service request number. Well no **** ****, the guy didn't even send me an email, you think they tracked anything???? Let's say even if I'm lying and I didn't call till September-October (which I can swear to you I called in April but whatever), you are telling me a $2000 laptop is only going to last me 1 year and 3 months???? Then I have to pay another $750 replacement fee????? Like what mind set are you guys in?? Literally unbelieable customer care, I have seen 14-year-old kids take care of bigger problems.  So basically they're calling me a liar and funny enough they went back to claiming the warranty is $600 and always was $600. These people are not trained properly and I highly recommend not buying anything from Microsoft, especially if you are a student. They ignore you and don't care about you, all they care about is whatever money left you have over after paying for school. I will update the forum if I get any response and help to my issue, but as of right now, Microsoft is definitely going to regret lying to me and I will make sure I spread the word as much as possible.

Give up on MSFT - their hardware is terrible.  Look at ASUS laptops - I had to buy one to replace my piece of sh#t Surface Pro.  ASUS not as well known a brand but consensus seems to be they make quality products.

I have a Surface Pro 4 that was a replacement for my original one.  So this one was supplied by Microsoft out of warranty in May 2018.    I now have the yellow streak at the bottom right of the screen when in landscape mode.

I have spoken to Microsoft who offer a replacement with a Surface Pro 5 for £558

Not sure what to do.   I love the Surface Book but not sure I want to go down this road again.

One option is to buy a new Surface Pro to get the full warranty.  Or maybe give up on Microsoft.....

    Any advice?
