Does the Surface Pro support APT-X Bluetooth?

I'm looking at some bluetooth speakers, and I know that APT-X codec gives better sound quality.

Would this work with the Pro? Or would I need different drivers?

Hmm my last reply vanished. 

Aptx is Bluetooth but Bluetooth 1.-4. is not itself aptx.

Aptx is made by csr.

The Surface Pro does support Bluetooth 4.0.

    I don't have any links, but I have a headset that blinks its light a different number of times to indicate which codec it is using. It is indeed using aptX on my Surface Pro 3.

    Your link shows that windows 10 supports apt-x, but not the surface products.  Where do you see that the Surface products supports Apt-X?

    Codecs are software driven, aptx is a codec.  So my pretty strong guess is that since windows 10 supports aptx, aptx will work on a surface. Anyways, I've read several posts, including Orion's here, that they are getting aptx connections on Surface devices. My aptx enabled headset certainly sounds better on my SP4 than on my W7 laptop as well. (My headset does not have an indicator for aptx.)

    My Surface Pro 4 is connected to my Cambridge Audio CXN Streamer via BTooth and on the screen of the streamer the Bluetooth connection indicate APTX is on.

    So the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is definitely  BT APTX enable !
