Hi.

The last month, my surface keyboard (External bluetooth version), keeps loosing connection to my surface book 2, if i have been away from the office, or my Surface book 2 has been in standby..... (I have tried to change the batteries in the keyboard)

When it happens (Which is does many times a day), i have to delete the paired surface keyboard on the surface book.. wait about a minute, and the press the pair button on the keyboard, and pair it with my surface book again. Then i works undtil the nex time it has been in standby or i have been away from the office....    I have han the surface book and keyboard 7 months, and have never been a issue before a month ago.  (I have tried to run e driver update, and the bluetooth repair, nothing helps.

They funny thing is, that i have a business partner in another company with the same setup as mine, he told med that he has the same issue with keyboard as i have....

Any ideas what our problem is, and are there other with the same issue???

    Hello,

I have the same problem as well.

    Microsoft Surface Book 2

    Microsoft Surface Bluetooth Keyboard

    Microsoft Surface Mouse

If I leave the computer for a while (30 mins?)  I come back and the keyboard does not respond.  Tried replacing batteries, no change.  The mouse always works.  If I repair the computer and keyboard, it works again.

I've not a problem on initial power up and I shut down the computer at the end of every day.  Only seems to occur if the computer is left for a while.

This didn't use to happen, but only started happening regularly over the last 4-6 weeks.

    Hi Microsoft!

Any solutions?????    My Microsoft Keyboard has been Standing in the Corner the last 3 month now.....  IT IS USELESS.   My cheap logitech runs flawless.

I have tried i with 2 different surface book 2's   (13" and a 15"   one with Nvidia GPU and one without) Same problem.

I have reinstalled the windows operation system with the windows update, where it deletes everything. Same problem.

I have tried with or without the bluetooth surface toll addon. Same problem

I have tried to run the surface diagnostic tool. Same problem.

Is the next place for my surface keyboard the trashcan?????       Soon it is a half a yer since i reported the error

I had this problem and re-paired the keyboard with no new problems. Earlier when I posted about the problem, i did not see any recommendation to re-pair the keyboard so I will suggest it just in case you haven’t tried that solution.

In Windows bluetooth settings, delete the keyboard from the list of paired devices. Click to add a new bluetooth device.

There is a rounded tube molded to the underside of the keyboard. It runs the entire width of the keyboard. Find the left side of the tube underneath the keyboard. Press in the middle of the tube-like, and you should be able to depress it. That should allow your Windows PC or laptop to discover the keyboard. It will instruct you to key in some numbers or letters to finish the pairing.

This worked for me. If someone else posted this suggestion, I did not see the post. If this something you’ve already tried then pardon me for wasting this space.

It has been tried...   I reconnect the keyboard to get it to work fast again (Before i put it in the corner).

As i posted before, i saw sometimes that the keyboard connected by it self, after some minutes... But that is not accepteble to wait minutes before it activates the keyboard   (The microsoft mouse and other bluetooth devices works instantly)
