Bluetooth Surface Keyboard keeps disconnects from my surface book 2

Hi.

The last month, my surface keyboard (External bluetooth version), keeps loosing connection to my surface book 2, if i have been away from the office, or my Surface book 2 has been in standby..... (I have tried to change the batteries in the keyboard)

When it happens (Which is does many times a day), i have to delete the paired surface keyboard on the surface book.. wait about a minute, and the press the pair button on the keyboard, and pair it with my surface book again. Then i works undtil the nex time it has been in standby or i have been away from the office....    I have han the surface book and keyboard 7 months, and have never been a issue before a month ago.  (I have tried to run e driver update, and the bluetooth repair, nothing helps.

They funny thing is, that i have a business partner in another company with the same setup as mine, he told med that he has the same issue with keyboard as i have....   

Any ideas what our problem is, and are there other with the same issue???

    But my PC have the same problem with surface book 2

    The issue hasn't reoccurred on my Surface Studio 2 for quite some time.  I haven't changed anything.

    I have the same problem with my PC but when I using it with my MacBook Pro that works really well and auto-connect at start.

    I don't know why the surface keyboard disconnect with windows 10 but works better with mac os.

    Some can help me fix it!

    Glad it helped - even though it didn't completely fix the problem.

    And yes - fingers crossed for Windows May update.

    I really should have replied to your reply faster, but didn't get around to it. I apologize for that.

    I did exactly what you suggested me to do, I went to the website of the brand of Bluetooth USB dongle I am using (In my case Kinivo) and they state there that drivers are not required as they work off of the Windows built in Bluetooth drivers/software . They did have the latest drivers on their website anyway for those that have had problems, which I decided to try just in case. I wasn't too optimistic it working as I have checked the drivers already installed for Bluetooth and they always say I have the latest version, won't hurt trying though.

    Although I still have disconnect from time to time, it is far less, also if I do disconnected it's easier and quicker to reconnect, just pull out the external Bluetooth and plug it back in, around 10 seconds later and everything is back to normal again. No more waiting for up to 10 minutes for the keyboard to reconnect, that was hella frustrating and time consuming.

    In conclusion I am disappointed this solution didn't completely fix the issue, as this is a problem that shouldn't be happening, I still hold hope that Windows 10 (2004) does fix this. On the other hand though I am content that it disconnects far less often and is an easier and quicker fix in reconnecting the keyboard, so thank you Hector_the_invincible.
