Hi.

The last month, my surface keyboard (External bluetooth version), keeps loosing connection to my surface book 2, if i have been away from the office, or my Surface book 2 has been in standby..... (I have tried to change the batteries in the keyboard)

When it happens (Which is does many times a day), i have to delete the paired surface keyboard on the surface book.. wait about a minute, and the press the pair button on the keyboard, and pair it with my surface book again. Then i works undtil the nex time it has been in standby or i have been away from the office....    I have han the surface book and keyboard 7 months, and have never been a issue before a month ago.  (I have tried to run e driver update, and the bluetooth repair, nothing helps.

They funny thing is, that i have a business partner in another company with the same setup as mine, he told med that he has the same issue with keyboard as i have....

Any ideas what our problem is, and are there other with the same issue???

Same here! Bought this piece of utter **** and it was driving me crazy for the very same reason!

I really don't get it - every single product Microsoft creates seems to be total mess! Trashed this **** up keyboard for

good and replaced it by a decent Logitech keyword which just works.

I was actually really keen in buying one of those Surface Books but after this, I am definitely looking away from it.
I won't buy a laptop created by a company which seems unable to even create a working **** keyboard!

    A WORKING **** KEYBOARD!

Same issue here. I'm using two different surface ergonomic keyboards on 2 win10 desktops PC (my home pc and my work pc)

They both disconnect erratically once in while to the point I can't even type or work anymore.

I tried updating drivers (intel bluetooth), I have my motherboard firmware and drivers up to date too, I have windows latest version on both machines. It's been happening for more than 6 months now.

The only fix when it happens is to restart.

It's becoming more and more annoying.

Seriously MS, sync your software and hardware teams and find us a solution.

Those are expensive premium keyboards, they should not behave like cheap knockoff products.

    Same for me....

restarting is the only way to fix it.

i then get the blue screen and QR Code telling me Driver Power State Failure error. After 10 frustrating minutes i can continue to work?

Considering I only bought Microsoft products because I didnt want any connection issues I am very disappointed.

    This is basic stuff microsoft!

writing this on my iPad whilst waiting for my surface to reboot !!

    Hi!

It is the Microsoft Surface Keyboard, Microsoft's own external surface keyboard.

    https://www.microsoft.com/da-dk/p/surface-keyboard/8r3rqvvflp4k?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

I have not tried a different keyboard, i do not have e second bluetooth keyboard at my disposal.   But i have other bluetooth devices connected, (Plantronic headset, and the Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse) nothing has changed in my setup the last 4 months.

The other business partner who has the samme issue on his Surface Boók 2. only has the Surface keyboard  and a surface Precision Mouse running on Bluetooth on his device   (He is not placed in the same company, so his machine do not have the same programs installed at all, but still see the same issues as i do)

*We would like to know, the make and model of your External Bluetooth keyboard?

*We would like to know, if you try to pair a deferent Bluetooth Keyboard before you post the threads?

    Thank you,
