Can Surface Earbuds connect to two devices simultaneously?

Good morning-

When I turn on my Surface Headphones (1st gen), it connects to my phone and computer. However, my Surface Earbuds cannot do this, and I need to switch back and forth between devices.

  1. Why are the Surface Headphones / Earbuds different in this respect?
  2. Is there a way to configure Surface Earbuds to work the same as the headphones?

Initial thoughts: bigger battery = more power & functionality?

Open to hearing your thoughts / solutions on this one. Thanks!

    Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your inquiry.   

    The Surface Earbuds were created to pair up to 7 devices but it can only be actively used on 1 device at a time which is your last paired device if it is in range. Otherwise, it will pair to the device in the order you have last used.

    The Surface Headphones and Surface Earbuds has different features, means that they are created with a different hardware specs for each other. 

    You may control which device will be used by going to the Surface Audio app > Device Setting > Paired devices. You will have the list of devices that was paired with your Surface Earbuds and you'll have the option to toggle which device will be connected.
