The solution is to hold MS accountable for a flaw which is most definately attributable to flawed design or part. See my earlier reply in this thread; it is a flaw which occured with varied manufacturers and was always dealt with under warranty with all
of them. Outside warranty period.. in this country it would still fall under manufacturer's responsibility as it is a defect that occurs with normal use, not abuse, within a time frame a consumer paying the amount one has for a device such as this has reasonable
expectations it should not be subject to faults as these even outside of manufacturer standard warranty.
Apple is using a bonding agent called Organofunctional Silane Z-6011 to bond the layers of glass. Apparently, Apple (or more likely Foxconn) is shipping these products so quickly that the evaporation process is not complete. However, after one or two days of use, especially with the screen on, will complete the evaporation process and the yellow "blotches" will disappear.
Similar issues with other IPS screens in the past it seems - though the sp3's I've encountered with the issue did not resolve by use.
Its likely a slight variation of fabrication and possibly the way the Surface 3's and others are absolutely drowned in glue inside holding them together,, evaporation will never occur..
