Thank you!
The suggestion to upgrade the drivers, as described by KentSpain85 (and suggested by others previously) below worked like a charm. It's now waking from sleep and the battery drain issue seems to be gone!
Now I'm going to turn Windows Hello back on to see if it works properly again. I'll let you all know if I encounter any additional problems, but everything has worked well for the past 24 hours.
Just a quick note that you should shut down completely and then restart after upgrading the drivers to the beta version. I was frustrated by one final failure to wake from sleep immediately after upgrading the drivers, but I just did a 'Restart'. When I
shut the system down completely and restarted, it worked perfectly.
Thanks again!
Eric
Yeah, it's quite simple. First, you must download the drivers from the website. After you have the drivers these are the steps.
Extract the ZIP file (don't download the EXE version) to a folder where you know where you are.
Right click the windows menu and click Device Manager
Expand Display Adapters
Right click Intel HD Graphics 520
Update
Click "browse my computer for driver software"
Click "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
Click Have disk
Click browse
Locate the folder, and use the files there and select the driver you'd like to use.
It'll take a little to update the driver, and then the screen will turn off and on a time or two. My person devices needed a restart so the touch screen would work correctly again, or the pen. Both devices had different reactions to the driver changes, but
a reboot always fixed the issue.
Hopefully this helped.
