Surface Pro 4 - Screen won't wake from sleep

I received my Surface Pro 4 today and it worked fine. I put it on "sleep" for awhile, came back and turned it on. Once again it worked fine. I made an error and instead of putting it on "sleep" I  hit the power button to turn it off when I finished. Now it won't come on at all. The screen stays dark. If I push the power button I can see lights under the keyboard keys, then if I hit the power switch again they go off. But nothing happens to the screen no matter what I do. Has anyone else suffered from this?

It works fine for me after the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Pro (Version 1607). It no longer goes into a coma.

I just traveled all week. Put my Surface Pro 4 (SP4) to sleep 10 to 20 times each day, and currently my task manager shows the up time to be 7:21:35:21 - 7 days! It is actually working the way I expected it to when I bought it!

It was such a relief to not be scared to put it to sleep during meeting breaks to save battery when working with my Pen and OneNote. For the past 7 months I've had to have it on power when in meetings so that it wouldn't go into a coma. That was always so embarrassing.

You can update to the latest version of Windows 10 by opening Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and selecting Check for updates.

    Have you run sfc /scannow since you "fixed" the opencl problem? Willing to bet that if you run sfc now it will log the same opencl problem.  Would really like you to try this and report back.  Thanks

    I found it seems to wake up when I plug in to charge it, perhaps it is meant to do this (but it seems to take a very long time to turn the screen off again—it's trying to find me) on sleep and hibernate. Perhaps this is normal. But overall, with all the problems I have, shutting down every time, close cover or press button works best.

    At least it wakes up normally (so far).

    I'm very annoyed at all this.

    OK,

    So I just reran "sfc /scannow" but it says "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

    I remember rerunning this several times between the first time I fixed the opencl.dll and now - some people claimed that subsequent Windows update would break it, but at least for me it didn't break it. My system is clean.

    Thanks for the rerun.  When I ran Dism it's log reported that opencl.dll had been repaired; however, when I ran sfc /scannow immediately after it still reported opencl.dll corruption.  Note that I deleted the log files before each run.  Based on your results I'm going to try the dism repair again.  Personally I don't think opencl.dll has anything to do with the wake problem since I have not experienced the wake from sleep problem for months but have seen the corrupt opencl.dll whenever I ran sfc /scannow.
