Surface Pro 4 - Screen won't wake from sleep

I received my Surface Pro 4 today and it worked fine. I put it on "sleep" for awhile, came back and turned it on. Once again it worked fine. I made an error and instead of putting it on "sleep" I  hit the power button to turn it off when I finished. Now it won't come on at all. The screen stays dark. If I push the power button I can see lights under the keyboard keys, then if I hit the power switch again they go off. But nothing happens to the screen no matter what I do. Has anyone else suffered from this?

It works fine for me after the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Pro (Version 1607). It no longer goes into a coma.

I just traveled all week. Put my Surface Pro 4 (SP4) to sleep 10 to 20 times each day, and currently my task manager shows the up time to be 7:21:35:21 - 7 days! It is actually working the way I expected it to when I bought it!

It was such a relief to not be scared to put it to sleep during meeting breaks to save battery when working with my Pen and OneNote. For the past 7 months I've had to have it on power when in meetings so that it wouldn't go into a coma. That was always so embarrassing.

You can update to the latest version of Windows 10 by opening Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and selecting Check for updates.

    If anyone else here is on insider builds, a new Intel CSI2 Host Controller was released today.

    "Without a changelog, it's not entirely clear what the driver update addresses. However, according to a tip, the update appears to addressissues with the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 resuming from Sleep.

    The Intel CSI2 Host Controller is related to the camera and how it functions with the System Bus/Bridge, which is exactly why it may help with Resume issues on the latest Windows 10 builds and the Surface. At least from our experience, Windows Hello would loop, sometimes get stuck, and overall just be less reliable with the latest Redstone releases."

    This is what exactly what I think the cause is! Sometimes I was playing music and then the sfp4 goes sleep, when I tried to wake it up, the keyboard lit, music resumed, but screen still black. It's now June of 2016, and I'm still having this trouble!!!

    This worked for me, today 5/30/2016

    Here's the transcript of my convo with Tech support. 

    Wayne: Let’s make sure your Surface is uptodate.

    Please go to Settings > Update & Security > Check for updates

    me: at 15:59:10

    its up to date

    Wayne: at 15:59:20

    Okay.

    Wayne: at 15:59:55

    Let's go to device manager. Expand System devices. Please look for Surface System Telemetry, right click on it and select Uninstall.

    Leave the box unchecked and hit OK, then restart the Surface.

    Me: ok

    Didn't work for me😩

    The USB workaround solution consistently works for me though I still seem to have the battery drain  problem.

    I had not had a sleep of death issue on my SP4 in about 6 weeks, all seemed well.

    Latest updates have bought it back for me. I'm beyond frustrated that MS releases a firmware / driver update that fixes one thing, makes two things worse and completely breaks something else.

    Literally will not buy MS hardware again on the back of this expensive, unreliable piece of ****.
