Surface Pro 4 - Screen won't wake from sleep

I received my Surface Pro 4 today and it worked fine. I put it on "sleep" for awhile, came back and turned it on. Once again it worked fine. I made an error and instead of putting it on "sleep" I  hit the power button to turn it off when I finished. Now it won't come on at all. The screen stays dark. If I push the power button I can see lights under the keyboard keys, then if I hit the power switch again they go off. But nothing happens to the screen no matter what I do. Has anyone else suffered from this?

It works fine for me after the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Pro (Version 1607). It no longer goes into a coma.

I just traveled all week. Put my Surface Pro 4 (SP4) to sleep 10 to 20 times each day, and currently my task manager shows the up time to be 7:21:35:21 - 7 days! It is actually working the way I expected it to when I bought it!

It was such a relief to not be scared to put it to sleep during meeting breaks to save battery when working with my Pen and OneNote. For the past 7 months I've had to have it on power when in meetings so that it wouldn't go into a coma. That was always so embarrassing.

You can update to the latest version of Windows 10 by opening Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and selecting Check for updates.

For some reason, the website lists a different driver version, but when I check in windows after the update, I see driver version 20.19.15.4352 so it is definitely newer than the 11/20/15 dated version. That's the right update.

I just did what you said and you are right.  The driver is now dated 12/15/15 with the driver version you stated.  I hope this fixes the problem.  Thanks!

UPDATE:  I haven't been able to confirm if it fixes the sleep problem, yet, BUT the streets finally show up in Microsoft Maps!

I used the .zip download from here and manaully did a driver update on the display driver. The automated install .exe will not install because it doesn't think it is a valid system. You need to update the display driver manually through device manager and then click on "have disk" or something to manually pick the driver you downloaded.

By the way, this new driver seemed to have solved the screen waking problem for me.

I will have to try this.  My dad & I both got the Pro 4's for our business and really like them.  (I think it's the first computer device my dad has called "really cool!").  Not turning on and being readily available on both our machines has been the only problem thus far - but it is a rather big problem if you does it, especially when using for a client.  I did try setting it to hibernate rather than sleep when I close the lid (as suggested by a previous poster) and I haven't had the problem yet - just takes about 15 seconds long to start up, which isn't long at all.

My only question regarding the driver is that my current driver, dated 11/20/15 is version 20.19.15.4326 and the new driver from Intel dated 12/22/15 is 15.40.14.4352.  Am I looking at the correct update?
