Surface Pro 4 - Screen won't wake from sleep

I received my Surface Pro 4 today and it worked fine. I put it on "sleep" for awhile, came back and turned it on. Once again it worked fine. I made an error and instead of putting it on "sleep" I  hit the power button to turn it off when I finished. Now it won't come on at all. The screen stays dark. If I push the power button I can see lights under the keyboard keys, then if I hit the power switch again they go off. But nothing happens to the screen no matter what I do. Has anyone else suffered from this?

It works fine for me after the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Pro (Version 1607). It no longer goes into a coma.

I just traveled all week. Put my Surface Pro 4 (SP4) to sleep 10 to 20 times each day, and currently my task manager shows the up time to be 7:21:35:21 - 7 days! It is actually working the way I expected it to when I bought it!

It was such a relief to not be scared to put it to sleep during meeting breaks to save battery when working with my Pen and OneNote. For the past 7 months I've had to have it on power when in meetings so that it wouldn't go into a coma. That was always so embarrassing.

You can update to the latest version of Windows 10 by opening Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and selecting Check for updates.

    It is now January 2016 and the Surface Pro 4 STILL won't wake up much of the time. I am about to return my device for a refund and stick with my Surface Pro 3.

    Thanks! I'll give it a try if the black screen coming out of hibernation happens again.

    It appears that the latest Microsoft Updates today (2015-01-12) has had a positive impact on many things. It's very early but so far things have been much better connected to the new docking station with 11-20 .4326 Microsoft drivers vs 12-15 .4352 Intel drivers.

    On Intel sourced .4352 drivers new corded docking station before latest Windows Updates SP4 would disconnect about every 10-15 minutes momentarily then switch back to external single 4K monitor but I'd have no mouse or keyboard. So I'd disconnect docking cable and reconnect.

    Before using Intel .4352 drivers I'd have a similar but less frequent experience but I'd loose docking station wired Ethernet adapter every 10ish minutes.

    So I've installed latest update, including .63 and rolled back to latest Microsoft display drivers (.4326) the docking station issues have so far not occurred! I'm overjoyed.

    I'll do more testing over the next several days - hopefully the black screen issue is a thing of the past too, even with November drivers.

    You can just tap power and volume up button for CtrlAltDel when you don't have a keyboard.
