Surface Pro 4 - Screen won't wake from sleep

I received my Surface Pro 4 today and it worked fine. I put it on "sleep" for awhile, came back and turned it on. Once again it worked fine. I made an error and instead of putting it on "sleep" I  hit the power button to turn it off when I finished. Now it won't come on at all. The screen stays dark. If I push the power button I can see lights under the keyboard keys, then if I hit the power switch again they go off. But nothing happens to the screen no matter what I do. Has anyone else suffered from this?

It works fine for me after the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Pro (Version 1607). It no longer goes into a coma.

I just traveled all week. Put my Surface Pro 4 (SP4) to sleep 10 to 20 times each day, and currently my task manager shows the up time to be 7:21:35:21 - 7 days! It is actually working the way I expected it to when I bought it!

It was such a relief to not be scared to put it to sleep during meeting breaks to save battery when working with my Pen and OneNote. For the past 7 months I've had to have it on power when in meetings so that it wouldn't go into a coma. That was always so embarrassing.

You can update to the latest version of Windows 10 by opening Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and selecting Check for updates.

    I still have the problem as well. I reboot every time I dock/undock.

    I must give Microsoft credit for creating such a flawed device that people still really like. This is now 2016 and flickering screen, pen that don't register, touch screens that stop responding, computers that doesn't wake from sleep or who doesn't go to sleep properly... If someone told you you could buy a computer with all these flaws (and more) you would be laughing at them and tell them that no one would be stupid enough to buy such a computer... and here we are all of us and for some reason still wait for Microsoft to make everything right.... 

    I know what I'm doing, I'm cutting my losses now and will return the computer for a dell XPS 13, and if that turns out to be just a fraction as buggy I'll move back to OS X and will wait another 10 years before touching Microsofts products (software or hardware) again.

    I'm sorry Microsoft, the SP is a great concept and with a bit better support (your return policy is however great and everyone I spoken to has been very helpful) which actually fixes our problems instead of asking us to force restart the computer I'm sure this would have been a huge success. The patience that everyone on this forum has shown is proof of how much we all wanted this machine to succeed, but I'm sorry this is your Vista hardware moment.

    I tried to install the driver pack, but I still need to manually extend these monitors.

    Really annoying.

    Did you try the download again?   This definitely worked for me and I haven't had any issues since I installed 4380 last week.  The Surface Pro 4 is now finally usable.
