Surface Pro 4 - Screen won't wake from sleep

I received my Surface Pro 4 today and it worked fine. I put it on "sleep" for awhile, came back and turned it on. Once again it worked fine. I made an error and instead of putting it on "sleep" I  hit the power button to turn it off when I finished. Now it won't come on at all. The screen stays dark. If I push the power button I can see lights under the keyboard keys, then if I hit the power switch again they go off. But nothing happens to the screen no matter what I do. Has anyone else suffered from this?

It works fine for me after the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Pro (Version 1607). It no longer goes into a coma.

I just traveled all week. Put my Surface Pro 4 (SP4) to sleep 10 to 20 times each day, and currently my task manager shows the up time to be 7:21:35:21 - 7 days! It is actually working the way I expected it to when I bought it!

It was such a relief to not be scared to put it to sleep during meeting breaks to save battery when working with my Pen and OneNote. For the past 7 months I've had to have it on power when in meetings so that it wouldn't go into a coma. That was always so embarrassing.

You can update to the latest version of Windows 10 by opening Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and selecting Check for updates.

    I forgot to mention the other annoyance with SP4 waking - about 30% of the time when it does wake OK, it fails to reconnect with my bluetooth mouse, so I have to turn bluetooth off then back on again to reconnect.

    Dyndragon, are you able to post a link to that Intel graphics driver?  I just did a quick search and couldn't find one with a version number later than 20.19.15.4409.

    All, there were some driver updates released on 4/24 to the Intel graphics device and some other things. Check to make sure those drivers were installed and the driver has a date of March 2016. I don't expect that this will fix everyone's problems with sleep and waking, but for those where the root cause is a graphics driver issue, it might. The notes for the driver specifically say it solves issues with the driver not waking from sleep, and fixes monitor issues with the docking station.

    I just had another novel wake failure after I left it sleeping overnight. I pressed the power button to wake it, and it came up with 'turning on camera', but the camera never lit up. After 30 secs I pressed 'sign-in options' and entered my PIN. The screen then went black with only the cursor arrow showing. I tried everything I could think of to get some display action - the keyboard was illuminated, and the cursor moved around the screen, but I couldn't get any other display without rebooting.

    Since the last updates it's been fine for short sleeps during the day, but it often fails on waking after sleeping overnight, even though it's set to sleep only, not hibernate. Reminds me of me...
