The same thing happened suddenly on my Surface Duo 2. I've been trying to find anything online that references the problem. Your post is the first. Hope there is a fix.

The 0.5 button is gone on my Duo 2 and I can no longer pinch the screen for a wide angle shot. The 1.0 and 2.0 buttons are available. I have tried 2 different camera apps and they both have the same issue.
