I have had my Surface book 3 for a few months, and I have babied it. Never leaves my desk, never goes in a backpack, never slammed shut, never dropped or otherwise treated improperly. I have a semicircle crack that randomly appeared by the webcam at the top of the screen. The laptop doesn't have a scratch on it and the screen randomly cracks? There is definitely a design flaw with the computer that Microsoft refuses to acknowledge. This should be covered under warranty repair if it just breaks from normal use. A $2,500 USD laptop should not have a cracked screen out of the blue from just sitting on a desk. The fact that Microsoft refuses to accept responsibility for such a widespread and obvious issue on their part, means I will not be purchasing Microsoft hardware in the future, will not be recommending them to anyone, and in fact, will be very vocal about their poor quality and lack of accountability.
Surface Book 3 Cracked Screen
My 3 month old Surface Book 3 has developed a small crack in the screen.
The crack is about 2cm long , at the top of the screen in the center above the webcam.
It is an upside down semi circle shape.
Microsoft Support have already told me it will not be covered under warranty.

2021-11-30T20:00:30+00:00 Hi, did you get anywhere?
Mine cracked back in October while I was working, I've fought long and hard for any sort of resolution and Microsoft are just not interested.
I've tried to throw the book at them, as their insistence that I pay to initiate a repair/exchange is infringing on my rights as a consumer according to the UK's Consumer Rights Act.
I refuse to back down on this. If I have to take legal action I will. This cannot go on.

2021-11-24T02:05:27+00:00 My computer is 4 months old. It's been sitting closed on the coffee table and at some point overnight it cracked. A $3000 laptop should not be developing spontaneous cracks.
