Refuse to replace mine at my expense absolutely disgusting from Microsoft mine cracked on its own within the first month when I replace my surface book 3 it won’t be one of theirs.
Surface Book 3 Cracked Screen
My 3 month old Surface Book 3 has developed a small crack in the screen.
The crack is about 2cm long , at the top of the screen in the center above the webcam.
It is an upside down semi circle shape.
Microsoft Support have already told me it will not be covered under warranty.

2021-07-27T01:19:55+00:00 I have still refused to pay to fix mine. My pen is worthless now because the initial crack turned into a shattered screen. Such a POS company trying to pawn this **** off as a tablet combo. No way an Apple product is released with this shoddy of material. If you find any success getting replaced let me know.

2021-07-26T23:40:04+00:00 Have an SB2 - No problems. SB3 cracked within 3 months and about 6 weeks later another crack propagated across the screen from the same spot. Never dropped.
Microsoft advertise this as a robust laptop. Ha Ha!
Sadly it will be the last SB I ever buy.

2021-06-30T16:36:13+00:00 So my Surface Book is not new. Bought Sept 2016 and has been fine until last couple weeks when I noticed a discoloration on far right side of screen. Today I realised the discoloration is because the top right corner of the screen glass has come away from the metal casing. If I squeeze it together, it simply pops back out. So this is not a cracked screen but a popped screen. I have no extended warranty and having read the MS blurb on repairs, I reckon it will cost at least £700 plus I will get a reconditioned screen/laptop. Any suggestions?
