Surface Book 3 Cracked Screen

My 3 month old Surface Book 3 has developed a small crack in the screen. 

The crack is about 2cm long , at the top of the screen in the center above the webcam.

It is an upside down semi circle shape. 

Microsoft Support have already told me it will not be covered under warranty.

    Yep, my SurfaceBook 3 has mysteriously done the same today - hasn't been taken anywhere or subjected to any stresses, but it now has a 2-3 cm arc hairline crack on the black bezel between the volume button and the front camera.

    I have not yet approached Microsoft about this. This is a GBP£2,500 machine that has been extremely well cared for since I got it last summer. If this was my fault or an isolated thing, then fair enough. But it seems to be fairly common, and I would like some action on it while under warranty.

    I'll let you know how I get on.

    Same issue. I have had my Surface Book 3 for less than a month and opened it one morning to find a crack across the screen. MIcrosoft are willing to repair it for a cost of $1032 AUD!! Not covered under warranty.

    I have the exact same problem, cracked screen around the webcam. I didn't buy it directly from Microsoft, but from Coolblue, they won't cover the cost of repair, as Microsoft doesn't see this is as their problem. Am quite pissed off to be honest.

    Hi there, just bought a surface book 3, 15‘, 32 GB. From one to another day my display cracked without doing anything. Just usage on my table. Heard about same problems with surface notebook 3. Repair will cost nearly 700 Euro? Come-on Microsoft...

    Same issue here. I have reported the small crack to the microsoft support. Hope that microsoft will investigate and recognize the craks as they did with the surface laptop.
