I too would love to hear a response from MS.
I have new SB 1Tb model, less than 2 months old. I've only installed a few pieces of software, mainly Office 365, and no new hardware or drivers. I've not used the computer much.
I've done all the standard automatic updates. I have encrypted my "hard drive" with Bit Locker.
When I put the computer to sleep by closing the lid, and leave it overnight, about half the time it crashes when I try to wake it up, and I have to reboot with the power button. My open apps - usually just a browser or Word - are closed.
I've disabled hibernation - the computer sleeps, but the hibernation settings, both on power and on battery , are set to never.
I've spend a lot of time with MS email support, which seems to have been outsourced. They are friendly, but not helpful, and I am getting tired the of various time consuming trouble shooting steps.
I wish MS would fix this. Until they do, some office commentary from the company would be nice. I haven't yet tried to replace the computer, that too will be time consuming, and from what I've read here probably won't accomplish anything.
MS: time to tell the public what's going on with this issue.
