I had my hopes up too. After installing the May 24 updates I returned to the power defaults and my Surface Book slept through the night last night and woke correctly this morning. Ordinarily it would usually crash. I was away from my Surface Book for about four hours this afternoon. Before I left I closed the clipboard. When I returned and opened the clipboard it had crashed. Unfortunately, at least in my case, the Sleep of Death issue has not been resolved.
I too had my hopes up. We had a HS Graduation to go to this afternoon and just got back. Before we left I had closed the lid on an open Chrome browser and MS Outlook. I just got home 4 1/2 hours later and opened my SB to a crashed system. After booting from scratch my Event Viewer shows the same Critical Crash Error yet again. Just Damn. It's beginning to look more and more like a hardware problem that the MS Engineers cannot fix.
