Updated June, 27 2023

Thank you for your patience while we have investigated Surface Duo devices that would restart after the May 30th, 2023 update. The June 26th, 2023 update improves system stability. See Update Surface Duo for more info on how to update your Surface Duo or Surface Duo 2.

I am now getting the message that "Updates are temporarily unavailable. Try again later." after I plugged in to another charger and was finally able to get past the cycling Windows logo. It says that the last successful check for updates was Jun12 and the latest Android security update: May 1, 2023.

Strange; i got the 27th June update and it booted normally.

Try to update en reboot manually.

I'm not sure what you mean by "manually"? Holding down the power key for >10 seconds? Nothing. Once, every 100 times, the home screen will appear when I try to boot up on a full charge, maybe one day a week.

I ran the update last night and left Wifi on - so far, so good. I'll keep my fingers crossed and monitor battery usage based on others' comments.

    Ok... Got new problems now.

the .15 version was almost ok, after reset of connections and manual reboot.

The .16 verion, after working more than a day ok, gave two black screens.

    Only a restart dit help.

Battery was still 65% (and battery use isstill very high, even with low energy on)

Microsoft give it a new try, and maybe the .17 version will work........

    Hey,

After doing the upgrades, which put them on .16, both my Duo 1 and Duo 2 are both back on WiFi and VPN and working properly, no more reboots! Thx!
