can you quantify and expand on "normal amount of work". If you post what you are doing and for how long, MAYBE I can get someone to look at reproducing this. Either way, I think we need to get an official support case opened for you.

I have a new Surface 3 4G LTE with Windows 10 pre-installed (purchased 28/10/15 from UK Microsoft Store). It appears to be working smoothly, including the mobile broadband, but from day one Event Viewer has been showing a dozen or so DriverFrameworks-UserMode "critical" events per day, both Event ID 10110 "A problem has occurred with one or more user-mode drivers..." and 10111 "The device Surface IA7260 Firmware Update... is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the driver 5 more times..." There's also an associated Application Error ID 1000 for faulting WUDFHost.exe (faulting module ntdll.dll). Despite this, the IA7260 Firmware Update appears in Device Manager (as a hidden device) connected and working under the Surface 3 Modem Device . Presumably the driver is eventually starting so all is more or less well, but it is rather alarming to see the log filling with "critical" errors, and of course the Reliability History rating is pretty much rock bottom. The other (likely) side effect is that Update History shows numerous instances of installing "System Firmware Update - 18/09/2015" - supposedly successfully in each case - presumably this update contains the IA7260 firmware update.
Does anyone else see this issue on the 4G LTE model? And/or any suggestions for remedy? Thanks!

2016-02-20T06:34:30+00:00 I spent a lot of time troubleshooting LTE behavior. I am using already 3rd Surface 3 LTE (2 returned to store) and different SIM cards since December 2015, but all have the same behavior - LTE driver crashes after a while of normal work. That was never noted in my ipad or surface 2 LTE, used in the same conditions (in moving train). So, now I am waiting for the time, when this fix will be finally applied.

inventory to swap you there so you can test before you leave the store.

2016-02-16T18:45:14+00:00 I have the same issue and have been having it for a while. No more time to troubleshoot it as my S3LTE seems to be working fine otherwise, it isn't a priority.

and
"A problem has occurred with one or more user-mode drivers and the hosting process has been terminated. This may temporarily interrupt your ability to access the devices."
Installed a new SIM from T-Mobile and reinstalled Windows from a downloaded image a couple weeks ago. The device is up to date with Win10 and firmware as of today, 2/16/16. Still, the error persists. These errors seem to come up when the device is coming out of power off/sleep/hibernation. I had turned off wifi and cellular and that makes it works when the device is not on (being used). Again, didn't spend time troubleshooting so not sure my observations are accurate.
Thinking of returning it to MS for a replacement device, not sure what I'm going to do at this point.

I would indeed have exchanged it, but it was rather urgently needed (I was using it with the touchscreen disabled - until I tried the N-Trig tool). Now, after a third reset, the original problem has gone, at least for now, the touchscreen is still fine, no BSODs for now, so it is just the GNSS sensor. Maybe this time it really is hardware. I'd still like to be able to do a "battery out" reset, though.
[EDIT] Well, very shortly after writing the above - Windows Update has automatically installed version 20.22.9057.18 of the Broadcom GNSS 47531 driver on my device. The previous version, which crashed on my device, was 20.23.8244.18 - in my case installed from the latest Surface 3 LTE driver package "Surface3_4GLTE-RestOfTheWorld_Win10_151120_0.msi", though I believe the same 20.23.8244.18 version was also, at one time, on Update. So far this older version appears stable on my device, which for the moment seems happier in all respects. (By the way, to clarify, removing the SIM only ever affected the first and most minor issue, the crash of the IA7260 Firmware Update user-mode driver: no effect on phantom touch, or GNSS crashes.)
