The random shutdowns are more than annoying. They render the Surface Duo in the unreliable category. People need to have reliable cell phones for critical communications.
Surface Duo shutdown when not in use
Hi everbody,
since about two weeks I`m a proud owner of Surface Duo and it's doing really fine.
The only topic I've found: everytime the Duo is not in use for hours (e. g. over night) it shuts down itself.
When it is in use it works proberly.
Does anyone else has such a problem?

2020-12-24T17:39:12+00:00 I have had the same problem with the random shutdowns, which are annoying because it causes missed calls and missed text messages. I have tried to remedy the problem with some bit of success, but not complete fix. When the Surface Duo has shut down, hold down the volume up button for 15 seconds and then press the start button while holding the volume up button. After the restart, the random shutdowns have been fewer but not totally eliminated.
