I've tried that. Let's see if that solves the problem for me. Thanks for the feedback.
Surface Duo shutdown when not in use
Hi everbody,
since about two weeks I`m a proud owner of Surface Duo and it's doing really fine.
The only topic I've found: everytime the Duo is not in use for hours (e. g. over night) it shuts down itself.
When it is in use it works proberly.
Does anyone else has such a problem?

2021-04-19T18:49:23+00:00 I use the Surface Duo as my work phone as it's highly productive to work on two screens (when it's on). And like yours, it normally shuts down when idle and in a pocket.
If music is playing while it's in a pocket, it's no issue. I've had to play music and turn down the volume just to make sure it doesn't shut down while i'm walking around.
This has got to be some sort of sensors that's activating the shutdown when the phone is idle.

2021-04-19T18:40:19+00:00 I had the same issue and disabling “Digital Wellbeing” seems to have stopped my phone from powering off each night.
Settings > Apps & notifications > Special app access > Usage access > Digital Wellbeing (disable)
Cheers

2021-04-19T15:56:20+00:00 I've gotta think by the time you're on the 4th, it's a pattern and not just a "bad batch" of devices. I sold mine and went back to my old Note 9. It's nice to just be able to pick up the phone and see information at one glance.... and ANSWER the phone without the screen freaking out six ways before I can touch the button to take the call. 2 screens was cool, but my experience with the Duo was killing my productivity, not making it better, especially when I discover it's been dead in my pocket for 4 hours and have 5 missed calls.

2021-04-19T15:45:46+00:00 I am no Duo expert, but I feel that one of the issues with the device could be that it does not always shut down if the two sides are not firmly closed. I hane started manually turning off the Duo when finished with it for the moment. My Duo has become almost totally reliable and bug free.
