Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Crackling Sound

I've had my MS Pro 4 for a few days now. Updates are installed and it's working fine. I hear a crackling or arcing sound every once in a while. It even happens when in sleep mode. Should I be concerned or is there an explanation for this?

    I have had the same problem with my Surface Pro 4! It is less than 1 year old and still under warranty...spoke to tech support online and took it down to the Microsoft store--they could not detect anything hardware or software related.  It is so annoying and I am afraid because this is my 4th Surface--It was a new replacement because I had 3 Surface Pro 3 that suddenly just died...

    What can I do?

    Same problem,

    every 15 minutes or so when on or in standby, the pop/crack occurs. Verrrrrry annoying. Tried new drivers, (realtek audio and screen) did not help.

    This needs to be fixed (Funny tidbit, this is my 5th Replacement unit.... Now i'm out of warranty. Problems keep coming.)

    Hi,

    There might be certain apps/programs that cause the crackling sound. Were you able to determine the area where the noise comes from? Also, you might want to run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, see if it helps. The diagnosis may take 15 minutes or less, but can take an hour or longer and depending on your internet connection speed and the repairs that the tool needs to do to fix the problems.

    If you're in the US, we recommend that you go to the nearest physical retail Microsoft Store and have your Surface device checked by our technician. It's the best way we can hear the crack/pop sound, and ensure that the replacement unit doesn't have the same issue. You might still be under the 90 day refurb replacement warranty so you might want to consider getting another replacement. You can also contact our Global Support for assistance.

    I live in Belgium.

    I tried the diagnostic toolkit many times. Always A ok.

    I have however found this in Event viewer under application.

    These always appear when a crackle happens. See attached image.

    These speech runtime warnings and information...

    Same thing today...

    It's always there after a pop\crackle.
