Surface Duo 2 batrtery issues after June Update

My Duo is almost unusable after the update. For some reason MS Launcher is taking about 40% battery and is constantly running. Even when im not using it and the phone is closed. This causes the phone to go from full charget to 15% In about 5 hours with only 30 mins screen time. The phone is running hot and doesn't charge fast at all unless i turn off the phone and don't log into it after it turns back on. I found a reddit thread and tried what they suggested but the issues is still here. The June update really messed up this phone. Is there a fix coming or is this only effecting a small amount of people that i have to deal with it until the next update and hope it fixes it?

    Reset your device. This behavior is not what many of us experience. I am on beta version of Microsoft Launcher.

    I did. I tried a bunch of different things even using another launcher. It is just trashed. I did notice it wasn't a large group of people it was happening to so i just did a warranty replacement hoping maybe it was just an issue with my unit. Thanks for the response.

    Hello, my Duo 2 have the same issues. Microsoft recommends a hardware change but I think Microsoft is right now not really interested or aware about this issues!

    Did you changed the hardware and does it helped?

    Problem of the overheating and extremely use of the battery solved. Following the steps I have done:

    • go to play store, Microsoft Launcher
    • activate Beta participation
    • waiting around 10 minutes
    • installing update of Microsoft Launcher
    • new start of the device
    • deinstall of the updates for Microsoft launcher
    • new start of the device
    • installation of the updates for Microsoft launcher

    However, after these steps the battery work fine as before.
