Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    I believe the reason why this happens is because the Surface is not plugged into a power source.

    If your laptop is on battery saver mode and if it is unplugged to a power source, it may act that way.

    Try watching the video on the brightness level of 2. It may help.

    I think that the problem is related to the fact that the Surface is not plugged, whatever on the battery saver mode or not. I have disabled the battery saver mode end everything related to the brightness (like adjusting to surrounding light). So the the obvious conclusion is that there is a problem with the battery mode. Something is not working properly. And Microsoft and Intell should work together to find a solution. New driver?

    As far as I know, my only solution is to close the type cover over the Surface, wait 5-10 seconds, and open it again, but it is a temporary solution so it does happen again.

    Major firmware update on my surface yesterday. At first I completely lost the ability to control the brightness and night lighting. But after another restart everything is back and it works fine. I think Microsoft and Intel found a solution. I hope it will stay that way
