Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    Thanks Barb,

    It is in my menu. It is named "Centre de commentaires" in french. I have posted a comment with as much details as possible.

    I realized that there is another topic about Surface Pro CRAHS" in this community. They say that their Surface craches and that the screen gets black. I am quite sure that it is not a crash, it is only the screen that gets completely black.

    The last time that it happened to me I did push the button to put my Surface in sleeping mode and than to wake it back. After 2 or 3 times I got back some luminosity. I could have done also a full restart but didn't have to.

    Hey EdgarJr_A,

    a bit late but here goes;

    so with the Powerplug plugged in it doesn't happen anymore,

    The solution-Link you posted didn't work

    and i used the feedback hub

    So I'll guess we have to wait to hear from them or from Intel if it's DPST

    You should find the topic "Surface pro crash". I have posted what I did to improve the situation. It is not perfect now but ways better. I am confident that Microsoft techs will find a solution
