Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    My task bar is in normal position. The situation worsen when i use the stylus. The surface then repetitively black out. Cannot work. This is very new Surface.

    Oh, I had this issue as well. When the pen is detected, the screen would black out for a second and turn back on when I remove the pen from the screen, then it blacks out again when I put it closer to the screen again. Mine would black out 2-3 times before resuming normal pen operation. Maybe try Windows Update, I know mine seems to have been fixed after a recent cumulative update on the Insider Dev channel, idk if stable build has received the update yet.

    Morning, I have just purchased a new Surface Pro 7+. Under power I have no issues at all but when running on battery using apps like Exchange whenever I move between messages I get a nano second black screen. Really disconcerting.

    Check whether your Taskbar is positioned vertically. If yes, make it horizontal. Belive it or not, that solved black screen issue. In my case.

    when I take the stylus, i experience repeated black out. therefore i can't use it. sometimes the surface pro becomes hot. it is new and in haven't loaded any program other than microsoft office. What to do?
