Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    My task bar is in normal position. The situation worsen when i use the stylus. The surface then repetitively black out. Cannot work. This is very new Surface.

    Oh, I had this issue as well. When the pen is detected, the screen would black out for a second and turn back on when I remove the pen from the screen, then it blacks out again when I put it closer to the screen again. Mine would black out 2-3 times before resuming normal pen operation. Maybe try Windows Update, I know mine seems to have been fixed after a recent cumulative update on the Insider Dev channel, idk if stable build has received the update yet.

    This happened to me during a Zoom session two days ago (Feb 9).  The SP7 was in the Surface Dock with attached monitor, and that display continued to run normally but the Surface Pro screen went black, stayed black for a few minutes, and then came back, all of that with me not doing anything - just participating in the Zoom session.  All other functions worked normally, except the Surface Pro built-in screen.  The Surface Dock was plugged in, so the device was running off the 120v power - there was no flickering of that power.

    I received cumulative update yesterday so try to update your SP7. If situation does not improve, I recommend returning unit to Microsoft :(

    I had similar problems and tried everything, from installing Intel command centar to continues restarts. I finally found solution. My taskbar was on left side of the screen and I moved it to original (horizontala) position and everything worked as expected and no black screen since. i found solution here
