Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    Same exact problem. Happens first time while watching netflix at night, set brightness to 0 . Baam. Seems random though because i can go 30 minutes without issue then a sudden screw up. Ill try brightness at 1 instead of zero and see if that fixes it. Im also in the total dark and surface is not plugged in.

    You should find the topic "Surface pro crash". I have posted what I did to improve the situation. It is not perfect now but ways better. I am confident that Microsoft techs will find a solution

    Hey EdgarJr_A,

    a bit late but here goes;

    so with the Powerplug plugged in it doesn't happen anymore,

    The solution-Link you posted didn't work

    and i used the feedback hub

    So I'll guess we have to wait to hear from them or from Intel if it's DPST
