Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    I believe the reason why this happens is because the Surface is not plugged into a power source.

    If your laptop is on battery saver mode and if it is unplugged to a power source, it may act that way.

    Try watching the video on the brightness level of 2. It may help.

    it's possible to use an app ( called intel graphics comand center ) do sisable some of the energy saving features that are active (the features are on sistem  --- power )

    this is the solutions that i found online and this is  worked for me .

    I have the same problem. I have the Surface Pro 7 (256GB SSD, 16GB RAM, i7) and this problem seems to be happening more often than before.

    When I am doing my regular work on Google Chrome or Microsoft Word, the screen randomly turns black. I find that the screen didn't turn off, I looked closely and found that the stuff on the screen was still visible, meaning the LED backlight must have turned off for no reason. I don't know if this is a hardware or driver problem, but I can close the type cover and open it again 5 seconds later and the screen returns to normal. It is really annoying when it happens, sometimes it just flickers on and off for a short period of time, before turning black.

    Oh, and this happens both when plugged in and on battery and happens especially often on Google Chrome (maybe it's because I use that the most).
