Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    I'm having the same exact issues you with the brightness changes on its on screen goes black on occasion  when watching video on low brightness setting and it happened regardless of whether its been plugged in or not. Lastly this is an on going issue I've been having with my SP7 despite only having bought it no more than 4 moths ago

    Yeah, I bought mine during Black Friday in 2019, I think they fixed the issue in a Windows Update since it hasn't been happening to me lately. So I think if you have an issue you could try updating Windows.

    Thank you for your response. This is my replacement SP7, my previous has some serious problems on the hardware mostly related to screen brightness then I got my replacement last week. My window update is latest as of today as well as my device drivers.

    Yeah, I bought mine during Black Friday in 2019, I think they fixed the issue in a Windows Update since it hasn't been happening to me lately. So I think if you have an issue you could try updating Windows.
