Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    I have the same issue. The best answer links to an article FROM FIVE YEARS AGO! This thing sucks. Microsoft knows it. I feel like such an idiot getting a new Surface after the last one got blurry then died. That was a 4, they told me. This is a 7, they told me.

    Same here, I've noticed that the issue starts when I set it to anything below 3% brightness and it immediately returns to roughly 40% brightness on it's own, Then after momentary use it begins flickering darker and then back to lighter, then upon adjusting it turns the display completely off, I tried resetting the device, installing intel command center, factory reset, installing new drivers, installing old drivers and still nothing works...

    The only time the device has proven fully capable of use is when it is plugged in...

    I think I will be getting my money back as this is definitely not worth the 1000$+ I paid for it...

    I am having the same problem Microsoft. I was so disappointed as this issue is very annoying to me when I am having webinar using Zoom or watch video.

    I'm using surface pro 7, i5 with 256GB RAM. and my windows is up to date, any solution for this? if not, can i get a replacement for this?

    I have the same thing happen to me. I just bought the Surface 7 Pro a week ago. Computer was not connected to a charger.
